This happened because the mayor of Manchester, Andy Burnham asked Liam Gallagher to be the voice of the city's trams.
Liam liked the idea and surprised the tram users by making an announcement.
In addition, he was given the opportunity to choose his favorite words.
"When the request was first made by [Greater Manchester mayor] Andy Burnham, Liam loved the idea of surprising tram users by doing the announcements, and he was given the chance to choose his favourite line."
A Spokesperson of Liam Gallagher said in a statement,
It is part of a government program called "Beyond The Music" festival.
According to the Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham, this program is aimed to Manchester and Britain musical legacy.
"By doing that, our aim is to strengthen one of Manchester's, and Britain's, most important exports."

Over 100 artists will perform at 17 venues across Manchester from Wednesday to Saturday, highlighting new music.
Wherever possible, organisers are urging music fans to use public transport to get to and from gigs.
