Reporting from Variety, Marty Adelstein told Variety, "We have the (second season) script ready."
Although One Piece has the potential for a second season, it may not be produced until the SAG-AFTRA scriptwriters' strike against the Alliance of Television Producers or AMPTP is resolved.
Becky Clements, president of Tomorrow Studios, also said that a second season could be in the works once they are given the go-ahead and could launch as early as next year.

"Realistically, hopefully, another year, if we move really fast, which is a possibility. Between a year and 18 months, we might be ready to air," Clements said.
Although many are hopeful about the potential of a second season of the One Piece live-action series, Netflix has yet to respond to the status of the straw hat gang's adventures.
