This season, the tournamnet was played by Manchester City and Arsenal.
In the match held at Wembley Stadium, Manchester City opened the scoring in the 77' minute after Cole Palmer scored. However, in injury time, Arsenal equalized after Leandro Trossard broke into Ederson's goal in the 90' minute.
The result sent both teams into extra time. However, both teams have not been able to add goals and make both of them have to fight in the penalty shootout.
In the penalty shootout, Arsenal came out on top after a Manchester City player, Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne missed a penalty.
This result made Mikel Arteta's team win the Community Shield match. This is Arteta's third trophy during his time as Arsenal's manager.
